You start by placing the Wall Tile Leveler on any flat surface for reference. Now place the WTL on the wall of your project. Check & adjust WTL before you begin. There are thumb levers on each end to use for adjustment until level. When level, tighten thumb wheel. You now place the first row of tile on the tile guide surface.
